MAROS - PANGKEP REGENCY TOUR

Hello there!
My name is Regita but usually my friend call me Eghy , i am student of Makassar Tourism Polytechnic , majoring in bussiness travel study program,and  i have been on a tour in Maros and Pangkep regency well i would like to share about my experience,this tour will goes on for 2 days.
On thursday 24th october we gathering in the campus at 07.00 in the morning for attendance list and briefing,we left the campus and headed to Maros regency at 8.05am.
while we are on the bus each student will guiding about each regency and 7 elements of culture.
at 8.53 am we arrive at one of popular tourist attraction in Maros regency which is "Rammang-rammang" that name is get from Makassar language it means berkabut  or in english is foggy,in there we can enjoy the nature by karst mountain and also our activities it's being on kampung berua,well kampung berua it's new village therefore it's called berua it means baru or in english is new , to go there we take the boat for the price it's around 300rb rupiah for  12 person,250rb rupiah for 8 person and on the way to kampung berua we can enjoy the view so beautiful in the right and left side.

this two plants have to much around the way to go , this two plants have function to hold the coastal abrasion,and nipa tree usually used for making roof of a house a long time ago
 and in kampung berua we make an observation in 3 attraction of kampung berua which is diamond cave,stone hills ammarung,kingkong stone.


First we go to visit ammarung stone hills,Mapala is the guy who found this place the first time and then tourist from australia and canada expose that place,people in there is really friendly, i even enjoyed drinking that coconut water and the view from there is really beautiful that was good place to take a picture.


The second place we go is diamonds cave,in there have a lot of unique stone,some similiar like a squid,elephant,and also have a shaped like a mother holding her child and the unique one is into the cave have a diamond but it's little bit crushed under the stone.This cave was found in the dream sir Muslimin,after that dream sir muslimin go to find the cave.But the access to get into cave it's little bit exhausting cause we need a little bit climbing , but that was fun.






The last place we visit in our first day tour is kingkong stone it was named kingkong stone because into that place have a stone that similiar like a kingkong face,a long years ago this place has turned into a chicken fight spot.

In the second day of our tour 25th october 07.00 we gathering at campus and 7.28 we are go to Pangkep regency and our activities in this day we going to visit some interesting place in Pangkep regency.
First we going to pandai besi,in there we can see the process to make a weapons by the pandai besi,well pandai besi is a person who professional made a weapons,that necessary to make a weapons is a iron and also a steel,to make weapons first step you need to which what kind of iron you want and after that cut the iron and then you burning the iron and the next step you need to hit with hammer and make a shape whatever you want and than you close the iron and the last step try it untill you thing that weapons good to used,in one day they are can make around 14-16 weapons,they work the weapons by 7.00am untill 04.00 pm.



And the second place is traditional market in there a lot of traders , and the kind of trader in there is a local food trader,fish trader,clothing trader,fruit trader and many more.And also there have a dock the name of the dock is Pangkajene dock there have a lot of boat for pick a food,fruit,and also a human too to transpor by island to other island,that dock is been there for a long time but it have a renovation little bit.





The last place we go is  BATARI Bandeng Tanpa Duri or in english is milkfish without bones, in there we gonna see the procces to make batari how to get off the bones by the body of the fish,they are get teaching by fisheries polytechnic of pangkep,for the price it's according to the size,the procces to make it you need a scissors and nippers,first step  cut the body and then take the bones with a nippers,total of the bones we take is 12 in the stomach,16 big bones in the stomach,42 from flesh near outer skin,12 in lateral line,and 42 at backbone so the total it's around 124 bones,they need 5-6 minutes to take out the bones ,the fish will get distribution to market and restaurant.



alright!that's all my result of my observation in the local culture tour 24-25th october,i really thank you for people who helped this tour and very grateful to our precious advisor ma'am Atriana Djabbar,A.Md,S.ST.Par,MM.Par.for guiding us untill the tour finish , and our beautiful tour leader who very patient with us Ms.Eni and our professional driver Mr.lembang and Mr.Nasir that has delivered us safely.
